Review
OscarSTORY / GAMEPLAY
Oscar is a little troll and he travels to Hollywood to search and obtain the Oscar Academy Awards inside 7 different movie-genre-themed levels like Science Fiction, Western, Horror, Cartoons, Dino, Detective and Gameshow.
As Oscar makes his way through the psychedelic Worlds of Candy, Soda Pop, Amusement Park Rides, Board Games, Fantasy Land and more, he meets lots of cool Toys and Animals in hidden rooms and finds some Bonus and Bogus mini games. He can use some nice power ups like Wings to fly, Springy Shoes to jump as well as his secret weapon, a magical Yo-Yo to swing on and zap enemies in some of the craziest platform levels you'll ever play. If you have enough Oscars you may complete the level. You can select the levels in any order you desire just by selecting and entering its door. Oscar plays much like other similar games, like Robocod and all you have to do is to jump onto platforms or onto the enemies' heads to eliminate them. It surely is a fun game.

GRAPHICS / SOUND
On the Amiga AGA version, graphics are fine and it is obvious that a great deal of care and attention has been taken over them. Same as with the OCS and DOS versions, sprites are well animated, while screens offer loads of colors (more than 100 colors on-screen here). Note that, the AGA and DOS versions have more details at the backgrounds compared to the Amiga OCS / ECS-based systems.
The game's sound features some nice in-game tunes and several sampled sound effects that add to the whole atmosphere.
